Hide and Seek" - and its innumerable variations - is a favorite game among children.  We start very early playing "Peek a boo!" pretending to hide (or actually believing?!) behind our blankets or hands.  Slightly older children learn more sophisticated ways of hiding themselves.  By the time we are adults we have developed quite sophisticated, and sometimes quite expensive, ways of playing "Hide and Seek:" work, children, make-up, tech devices, new toys, theology, politics ... the list of ways we hide from ourselves, one another, and the God who seeks us and calls us is endless.  We sometimes imagine ourselves to be "seeking," but most often we are simply "seeking" more effective ways to hide.  The real Seeker is the One who faithfully comes to us, pursues us, calls to us, holds out His arms to us, welcomes us, embrace us, and calls us His own.  So come out of hiding for the One who seeks you has found you and invites you to His Table.  Sit down and enjoy the bounty of His faithfulness.

The coronation of the King opened the floodgates of God's long-promised jubilee of redeeming grace ... and the waters that flow and flood the world are the "flood of people" flowing throughout the lands in triumphal procession in undeniable witness to the power and glory of His amazing grace: the Holy Ones, once profane now made holy, are the glorious crown of beauty in the hands of God set upon the head of Christ.

the anointed One’s proclamation actually constitutes a “Good News People” for a bad news world!  The Good News of God’s Justice actually creates a people of His Peace (NB: God’s “Peace” is the fruit of His Justice.) The jubilee of God's Peace is the coronation of Christ as the King.

Remembering the Sabbath, and Keeping the Lord's Day is a weekly opportunity to practice our faith - cease from our labors, rooted as they are in the fear that "if I don't, it won't;" and rest in the fact that the Lord's arm is not shortened.
