Dr. Straus also suggested that if you are not sure about the treatment given you should go for a second opinion and to make a more formative decision for the treatment suggested.  You need to find out the cost of the procedure is going to cost, medications, and know you're of pocket expenses will be.  We may not be able to control the major issues in the Health Care System, but we can be an advocate ourselves with the Doctor we choose and speak up for our own health.
