NOTE: There is no new virus in China. This is a rebroadcast from the COVID19 pandemic era.
Boy, looking back on this and hearing myself say "Online learning is cool. I'm happy to be a part of history." Wow. Just. Wow. Those early days of the pandemic, when we all thought it was just going to come and go quickly, and we'd be over it in a month or two. Hindsight sure sucks sometimes.
Most ironic song title of March 2020 - "From Here on it Got Rough".
By the way, Ori and the Blind Forest is a fantastic game, and it's follow up Ori and Will O the Wisps is just as good. Highly recommended games.
Featured speakers are:
WHO emergency’s director, Dr Michael Ryan
Manager of Irish hiphop group “Kneecap"
Queen’s Law professor Ardi Imseis at the ICJ
CNN interview with Dr Samer Attar
Glenn Greenwald on Senator Norm Coleman
Col Douglas MacGregor
Featured speakers:
Prof John Mearshimer
UN Special Rapporteur, Prof Ben Saul
Former Greek Finance Minister, Yanis Varoufakis
Prof Jeffrey Sachs
Louis Theroux
For the score this week, I'm taking music from the video game "Freedom Finger". Rather than put that as the album though, I'm putting the original album that the song came out on from that artist since this video game soundtrack was never officially released.
Speakers this week:
Dimitri Lascaris
Yves Engler
Tyrell
Chinese Tik Tok influencer
Rami
NOTE: THERE IS NO NEW VIRUS IN CHINA. THIS IS A REPEAT BROADCAST FROM 2020.
Interesting to go back and experience some "on the ground reporting" as I take you from my suburb into the center of Dalian in Liaoning province to take a look at what the streets were like in the early days of the pandemic.
Speakers on the show:
Yves Engler (Canadian journalist)
Kavita Algu (PhD candidate in palliative care)
Trey Yingst (FOX News journalist)
Sky News (unknown reporter)
CNN interview with Gaza medical worker
Glenn Greenwald interviewing Prof John Mearshimer
Note: this is an old broadcast from early 2020 - there is no new virus in China.
