In this episode. I talk about the benefits of cheat meals and how to do them right. If you are on a low calorie diet and try to lose fat you need to spike your metabolism every now and then with a high-calorie cheat meal. Otherwise your body is gong to go into starvation mode and start storing more fat, because it thinks there's a shortage of food. So your metabolism slows down if you continually follow a long calorie diet and the key to preventing that is having high day where you have a very high calorie meal or even a couple of meals if you have really been training and dieting hard. Cheat meals are also important for recovering from your workouts given that you really work so hard at the gym that you deserve them. Most people are not professional athletes and a cheat day every week isn't necessarily optimal. You need to really work out hard for a cheat meal every week to make sense.
