Aside from that, we watch as teams get used to the new schedule in CR6 Season 3. We note the incredible growth and opportunity from collegiate teams to execute and really bring real attention back to their schools.

Shout out to the Esports Eggbowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State esport clubs and their R6 teams. MSU's team tied the Eggbowl series with the win in this best of 1.

The Round of 16 is over, but here is what I knew before the matches were complete! Round of 8 starts Friday, May 10th on twitch.tv/collegiateR6.

We have our national playoff berth'd teams already settling into an extra week of rest, while the remaining 40 teams vy for a shot at the title by surviving a one match regional playoffs to whittle down 10 teams to 5 in each division.

We'll briefly re-visit my Wildcard predictions (hint: they were wrong!) and talk about the teams and match-ups to consider this week!

It is down to the wire! After a short recap of a few matches from week 8, we jump right into playoffs-research mode!

The majority of first place teams know whether or not they're going to Nationals, while our 5th place teams are on pins and needles waiting to figure out who will take the wild card slots in each division.

Only three undefeated teams left: Ohio State, Central Florida and Iowa State.

Week 7 Recap:

British Columbia marches through Washington State Oklahoma State and Maryville tied UNC-Charlotte heavily fortifies third place in their group with a win over NJIT Utah and Illinois State also tied putting their chances of making an appearance in the post-season very much in question

Games to Watch in Week 8:

UC-Davis vs. Northern Arizona in the race for 2nd place in Lion Group 1 Angelo State and Ferris State are top tier teams and could provide one of the highest level R6 matches of the week Colorado Mines vs Michigan State couldn't have a closer match in the league at this time and in the middle of the pack in Falcon Group 2

Three groups have their top 5 set, but the order of their five is yet to be determined: Eagle Group 2, Falcon Group 2 and Viper Group 1
