#CheckingVAR Podcast

The premier league isn’t a sprint it’s a marathon. As a marathon runner knows the start and finish are essential, but so is the middle chunk of the race.

Hello, folks join us this week while we dissect 20 games worth of content in under 90 minutes ... Arsenal's nightmare at the Theatre of Dreams, Chelsea's controversial win against West Ham, the stalemate in the Merseyside Derby, Leicester's annihilation at the hands of Brighton, Ivan Toney's masterful display, and why Mctominay is all of a sudden passing forward!

No, seriously as fans we all watch these games and some of the things we see are either frightening or exciting but is it too soon to be judging your team? What are your criteria?  The top 4 from last season all seem to all have issues and our surprise table toppers, are they the real deal?

Let us know what you think.

Friends of the podcast, in an unprovoked soliloquy our very own Paa Kofi Simpson willfully offered the Gunners as the lead contenders for perennial champions Manchester City and their Premier League crown.

As expected the opening week of this season was rife with entertainment and subplots as early as the first kick-off of the gameweek.

Join us on this week's episode of the checking VAR podcast as we discuss all these topics, review last weekend's games, and preview the mouthwatering clashes in gameweek 2.

WELCOME BACK !! In this episode, we preview another exciting season of the EPL and make our predictions for match week one. Will City bounce back? Can Arsenal and Spurs be contenders? Will Ten Hag shine? Will Chelsea finish 6th? Find out all of that and more in today’s episode.

Unfortunately all good things have to come to an end. This is our last episode for season 2 of the Checking VAR podcast. We have had an incredible journey this year following football with you our listeners and fans. None of this exists without you. Thank you for your continued patronage and support. We're coming back next season bigger and better.

With the penultimate round of fixtures for most clubs already behind us, we take time to examine the successes and shortcomings of Arsenal, Man United, and, Chelsea (to a lesser extent) with our wonderful guest Eseosa - a passionate member of the ArtetaHive.

We take a deep dive into what went wrong, where it went wrong and where the team, Arteta and Edu can improve to ensure next seasons' objectives are met.

Who do you think they should sign, sell, and renew.

That's it. Enjoy.

Sorry for the delay... we faced some technical issues but that means this week you get 2 episodes for the price of one. Join us this week as we discuss all things right and wrong with your favorite premier league teams with a specific emphasis on the title race, top 4, and the relegation scrap.
