Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but sometimes we let the opinion of others dictate our behavior and ability to belong. Remember the ugly duckling? Maybe to fit in and feel more beautiful we need to change what is around us, not who we are.
Habits can be broken in an instant. Building new habits is the part that takes time. Either way, we need to be in the belief that we can forgive and change.
When we have a problem we are trying to figure out, sometimes answers come in mysterious ways. I am sharing one of those ways today with my dream.
Play is essential for happiness, but when we get older it is often difficult to really play. Lydia is joined by Lyssa Scott to discuss the pieces of playing on purpose with intention, how to keep it easy and fun, and a few extra surprises along the way. Like, did you know planning for a meal has a lot in common with puzzles?

What if you were right 90% of the time?

What happens when there is a conversation you need to have but there's too much anxiety about it to actually meet with the person you need to talk to and say hi?
In this episode Lydia shares some ideas to help reduce the anxiety so there can be a safe enough feeling that there is a freedom to speak. If there is not a true feeling of being free to speak, the conversation will not happen. At least not the way you want it to.
Have you been dreaming big enough? Wondering why things just aren't quite what you are expecting or hoping for? Maybe you need to get more details in your dreaming. In this episode Lydia shares about how to add and simplify dreaming to get things happening for happiness.
There is so much to gain from listening to this episode interviewing Debbi Migit!
My favorite quote from this episode: What they call obsession, I call faith.
With all of the emotional and mental issues that come along with infertility challenging Debbi for over a decade, she still found a foundation of faith to carry her through the pain to see the miracles God had in store for her.
Now she asks God, “What do you want to talk to me about today?” and then she listens with her heart. Her book series takes readers on the adventures of following God. She encourages us to jump in and see where God takes you.
GUARD OUR JOY. Is something stealing my joy? No matter what circumstances are we need to protect that.
What are Debbi’s top tools for getting the happy back when the happy is hard? Stones of remembrance and laughter.
Joshua 4:9 talks about stones of remembrance. Debbi takes out stones of remembrance all the time and reminds herself of the things that God has done.
“Because He has a plan and a reason for putting me where and when I am. I remind myself that it’s just His grace that I can live where I live.” We can take time to list all the negative things, but Debbi chooses to list all the good things that God has done for her. She rehearses them and builds up her faith and gratitude.
Laughter is a wonderful gift that contributes to healing. Debbi encourages us to find things to laugh about and have a physical release through humor instead of crying.
You can find Debbi’s books on Amazon or find her at her website and connect with her on Facebook.
