Duffy developed his passion for cooking as a child, when his big Irish-Italian family would crowd into the kitchen to prepare their meals together. He went on to study the French method at The Restaurant School in Philadelphia, then worked under world-renowned Chef Jean Marie LaCroix at The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.
