Get an in-depth preview of the 2017 Chelsea High School Football team with Head Coach Chris Elmore. The Chelsea Hornets are coming off of an 8-3 season and their 2nd consecutive class 6A playoff appearance. The Hornets open up the 2017 season at home on August 25th at 7 pm against class 7A opponent and county rival, Oak Mountain.
Preperation
* 3 days a week in the weight room since December 2016 during the school year

* They are ready for their chance to play and prove themselves
* The Hornets have lost 11 starters on offense
* Last year's team averaged over 40 points a game of Offense
* This years team has little experience, but a lot of depth
Offense
* Multiple QBs that deserve to play
* Running Back by committee
* 8 Wide Receivers on the depth chart, 3 in most formations
* 2 Tight End opportunities
* Not big on the Offensive Line this year, but strong and skilled
Defense
* Last year's leading tackler returns at Line Backer
* Chelsea plays 3 Line Backers
* More depth on the Defensive Line this year
* Chelsea plays with 3 Defensive Lineman
* Twin brothers playing Corner Back this year
* Chelsea plays with 3 Safeties

* Previously coached as an Offensive Coordinator at Hueytown High School
* Went to Mississippi State and received a Bachelors in Professional Golf Management
* Worked as a Golf Pro in Cleveland, OH before deciding to become a Football Coach
* He met his wife on a blind date in Cleveland, OH
