Rishi Persad and Sam Turner are joined by Andy Holding to look back on the Cheltenham Festival 2023 and put up a couple ante-post fancies for Cheltenham 2024.
On day one we were spoiled by some wonderful performances at Prestbury Park as Constitution Hill continued to develop into one of horse racing's greats in the Champion Hurdle. Honeysuckle gave us the fairy tale ending to her glittering career earning the loudest roar of the week in the winner's enclosure all after Marine Nationale bolted up the hill in the Supreme.
Day two belonged to Energumene in the Champion Chase with a disappointing run from Edwardstone in pursuit after Impaire Et Passe opened the card with a superb win in the Ballymore.
The rain came in buckets before day three which paved the way for some long-priced and nostalgic winners as Envoi Allen and Sire Du Berlais rolled back the years at 13/2 and 33/1 respectively.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup was won by Galopin Des Champs beating Bravemansgame well after jumping the final flight together.
