Kaarvan was probably the loneliest elephant in the world. He lived a hostage life in Pakistan for many years.  Singer and animal rights activist, Cher campaigned for the animal's release.  He was finally transferred from Pakistan to Cambodia where he was released into the wild with many other elephants.
