The wise person has a destination they are intentionally heading towards.

Your life is precious. Don't waste it.

Instead of pursuing future wealth for tomorrow, enjoy what God has given you today.

The primary way to define sin is not just the doing of bad things, but the making of good things into ultimate things. It is seeking to establish a sense of self by making something else more central to your significance, purpose, and happiness than your relationship to God.

Sin is building your self-worth on anything other than God.

I mean, if I believed, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that a truck was coming at you, and you didn't believe that truck was bearing down on you, there is a certain point where I tackle you. And this is more important than that.

Don't sacrifice the future to make your life easy in the moment. Your ultimate goal is to raise an adult who will make their own decisions. Grow them in a way to achieve that goal.

Agape love isn't about loving someone because they are lovable, but loving them because God, who is love, is present in us, loving them through us.
