June 29 & 30, 2019 - What’s in a name? Well, in the case of the Name above all names, a whole lot. The third commandment is more often scrutinized – and more often ignored – than most of us realize. Because this commandment goes well beyond the words that come out of our mouths. In the end, the words we use reveal what is in our hearts.

June 22 & 23, 2019 - God designed us to worship. And, whether we know it or not, we all worship something. And of course, whatever we worship, well, that’s our God. This weekend we’re going to ask ourselves, “Who is my God, really?” because ultimately, our eternity depends on the true answer to that question.

June 15 & 16, 2019 - A common misconception is that The Ten Commandments are a list of old school “Thou Shalt Nots” – a bunch of outdated rules to follow. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Rather, the very first commandment is actually something to DO. (“You shall have no other gods before Me.”) This Father’s Day weekend, what kind of men will we be, what kind of community could we be, if we would all Keep God First?

June 9, 2019 - When Jesus said, "The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me," was He being insensitive towards the poor? If God is for us, then why do children go hungry and people not have homes? May June 1 & 2, 2019 - We celebrate birthdays, promotions, anniversaries and all manner of good things. God’s people are a celebrating people! This weekend we pause to celebrate Matthew and Holly Deans. They grew up in Chesapeake, served as our Youth Pastors for seven years, and now we launch them into their next God-adventure as Matthew pursues his calling as an Army Chaplain. And yes, we’re celebrating at all three services!

May 25 & 26, 2019 - Obedience. Many people cringe at the word. In our culture, obedience often implies weakness, dependence, or lack of power. And so we don't. We disobey. We deliberately disobey God believing that is what brings freedom. This week we are going to take a look at what full obedience to God really looks like and how it ultimately leads to strength, freedom and true joy.

May 18 & 19, 2019 - All throughout the Bible, from cover to cover, God tell us to remember Who He is and what He is has done for us. Indeed God also tells us that He will never forget His promises to us. And yet, throughout the Bible and to this day, we do forget God’s promises, Who God is and all He has already done for us. This forgetting is a great source of our sorrow, discontentment and brokenness. This week we learn not only why we forget, but more importantly, how we can always remember.

May 4 & 5, 2019 - It’s easy to admit: There are times when God and the things He does – or the things He allows to happen – simply don’t make sense. Yet even in those moments of human uncertainty, we serve the God Who is certain. He never changes His mind. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Once we conquer fear and fully trust in God, everything else will follow if God be for us.

April 27 & 28, 2019 - Few things paralyze a life with Christ the way fear does, which is why it should come as no surprise that God frequently reminds His people, “Do not be afraid.” More than one hundred times, in fact! But if we serve the God Who is for us, shouldn’t once be enough? If God Be For Us, Then Why Do We Fear?
