Do we really need to be as busy as we used to be? We tackle that question in light of some new stats from the ADA’s Health Policy Institute. Confusion was in the air while discussing a clinic who laid off half their staff. Why would they do that? What employee would come back after that? Compliance and audits were next up on the agenda. If we have no examiners or auditors then who will catch the really rotten dentists out there? Maybe it’s DSO investors who will foot that bill. Listen along and find out!

Low reimbursement and expanding state dental services is a bad cycle that just keeps spinning. We’ll discuss how states get real generous with dental care but then uh-oh! A report on Henry Schein gave us some talking points on the supply world and what it looks like for both corporate and independent practices. Kevin then asked if dental employees should avoid all the wonderful sweet and sour candies in order to ‘practice what we preach.’ It was the perfect segue into a stress relieving activity known as the Rage Room. Could you swing a mighty sledgehammer? We know we could!
