Pastor Jon Simpson examines the conditions of the first-century Roman Empire, and how it was the perfect stage for the entry of Jesus and the Gospel. God is intentional in how He works, and seeing that reminds us He is intentional with us, as well, working all things toward His final goal in the fullness of time.
There's a war raging in the spiritual realm, a war Jesus will ultimately win. We are not mere spectators, but combatants in need of defending ourselves. The battle isn't won by our strength, but our efforts are required. Jesus wants fruit! So we must know and wear our armor against the enemy, know and rightly wield our weapons. But first, we must know WHO our enemy is.
Remembering the Jesus is and will be victorious in the battle between good and evil is a fact that comforts those who fight on His side. Even more uplifting is the knoweldge that not only will Jesus be triumphant, but we are the spoils, the objects that He "wins" in His victory.
Pastor Jon "digs up" a lot of reasons why not only should we trust what the Bible says is true, but we should be confident that the evidence of archeology supports it.
Note: A version with the outro portion in the middle of the service has been replaced with a fixed version.
How can we trust a book that's thousands of years old? What about the "big conspiracy" behind how the Bible was formed? What's with all the different versions and which one is right? Is the King James Bible special?
Pastor Jon and Kasey Orr dive deeper into these questions and more brought about when the worldly try to undermine the Bible, God's personal communication to us.
