Chi Alpha After Hours

Election week is over. Now what? In this episode, we discuss what the election revealed about our culture, what we're watching for, and our prayers for political engagement in Chi Alpha.

If we believe that God speaks truth to us through the Bible, then we have to believe Hell is real. This week, we talk about how God's perfect love puts Hell in perspective.

In our first-ever testimony episode, Cassie sits down with Jon Rabourn. We discuss his journey to OSU and what God is teaching him about everyday obedience.

Jesus calls his disciples to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. As a missionary to Cambodia for the last twenty years, Ken Huff takes that mission seriously. He invites us into the tumultuous history of Cambodia, the needs of the Cambodian church, and the Kingdom vision he hopes to see realized.

Jesus says that his sheep hear his voice, but that experience can vary as much as people do! We share our own stories of God communicating with us and ways to grow in receiving and interpreting His messages.

God is slow to anger, but His wrath is violent. We talk about possible genocide in the Old Testament, that confusing bit about Elisha and the bears, and the challenge to remember that both wrath and mercy will always be part of God's character.

It's election season, and the political divide in the U.S. is wider than ever. We talk about responsibly engaging in politics as Christians, Jesus's model, and why there is reason for distrust - and for hope.

What distinguishes Chi Alpha from other ministries at Oregon State University? What do we care about? In this episode, we share our core values and the advice we wish we'd been given as new university students.
