This week, Pastor Derek took us through 2 Timothy 4:7 where Paul talks about how he "fought the good fight" and he "finished the race". Pastor Derek taught us how to finish our race well with the rest of this semester, but also with our college careers. He showed us the importance of running our own race and how much it can impact another person's life.

This week, Pastor Derek took us through Matthew chapter 5 where we learned that we must die to comfort. We learned that we must die to the comfort of our "normal" lives when we go home for the summer so that we can live to persecution. Pastor Derek reminded us that this summer break might be hard as we go home, but we must be okay with being uncomfortable for the Kingdom of God.

This week, Pastor Jon taught us that we must die to disunity and live to peace. We learned that peacemakers cannot be divided with each other and that peacemakers must remain pure of heart. Pastor Jon taught us that we can do all of the right things, but if we don't know Jesus it was all for nothing.

This week, Pastor Derek took us through Matthew chapter 5 where we learned about Jesus says about hope at the Sermon on the Mount. We learned that we must die to the despair in our life so that we can live to hope. Pastor Derek taught us that we should remain joyful in times of despair.

This week, Pastor Derek took us through Luke 9:23 where Jesus tells us that we must deny ourselves and take up our cross daily and follow Him. We learned that our old sinful self and our new self cannot coexist, we must die to our old self daily so that the new can live.

This week, Pastor Derek shared his heart on what it looks like to be generous with our finances. He took us through Mark 12, the story of the women who gave all she had. We learned that it isn't about the amount that we give, its about our hearts when we give and the trust we have in God when we give.

This week, Pastor KC took us through 2 Corinthians 9 where it teaches us about generosity. We learned that we must be generous with the time and talents that God has given us. Pastor KC taught us that we must give without reservation and that when we are generous, we bring glory to God.

This week, Pastor Derek concluded our love series with our happily ever after: Marriage. We walked through Genesis and God's perfect design for marriage, as well as our reasons for marriage: Friendship, Gardening, Sexuality, Family, & Re-Creation.

This week, Pastor Derek took us through Judges 14 where it tells the story of Samson and the lion. We learned that we need to run away from the cliff of "sex" and run towards Jesus. Pastor Derek taught us that we must trust the creator of sex over the creation that is sex.

This week, Pastor Derek continued in our love series by talking about dating intentionally. He took us through chapter 2 of Song of Solomon where it talks about the chase, the line, the friends, and the journey to the day in our dating relationships. We learned that the rising action of our love story is dating with intentionality.
