Lauren Cortez is a research professional with over 13 years of experience in military suicide prevention, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), military sexual trauma (MST), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and military caregiving primarily in clinical trials for behavioral, pharmaceutical, and medical device studies. Circumcision is rare in Hispanic culture, so often many Latino parents know little about the procedure and its consequences, according to Georganne Chapin, executive director of Intact America, a child health advocacy organization based in Tarrytown, New York. And that’s the problem.
