In light of the tragic shooting that unfolded at a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school, the Bartlesville City Council and Bartlesville Public Schools District (BPSD) agreed to hire six additional school resource officers (SRO) to protect our kiddos. Bartlesville Police Chief Tracy Roles talks about the importance of having an SRO at each of BPSD's nine school sites. Chief Roles also sat down with Bartlesville Radio to discuss job openings and the Bartlesville Police Department's (BPD) great staffing numbers. Roles talked about the BPD's ongoing efforts to engage its officers with the public through community meetings.
