    This is the finale episode of Series One of Child Pony Sleep Repeat.
    I have learnt so much from so many amazing parents in this series and I am going to channel so much of it as I have maternity leave with Baby N2 this month!

Sonia is a Midwife and trained Sonographer, Throughout her life and training, horses have been a constant and her 22 year old cob Merlin is her escape from the stress work can bring as well as dealing with just normal day to day family life

  • Episode 23: Eloise Armiger

    This weeks interview is with Eloise Armiger  who is Mum to two boys, 7 year old George and 3 year old Arthur. Eloise used to buy and sell horses and also run a transport business with her partner however, now she is following a new career path as a Mindset Coach for Mums which is her new vocation since having her sons and finding herself a single parent just before the pandemic hit last year, Eloise also juggles this alongside a new passion for breeding miniature shetland ponies.

    This week we hear from our Horsey Midwife Elaine Shaw whilst she is in the midst of running Horsey Pre-School and teaching thoroughbred yearlings how to long rein happily and safely round the stud and the best tips to make it go well!

    The Non Horsey Husband is currently the Very Pheasanty Husband and is busy feeding and rounding them up early in the mornings and late into the evenings so we will catch up with him next week.

    This week's interview is with mum of one son, Steph Buxton.
    Steph owns and manages her own livery yard as well as being a qualified riding instructor and NVQ assessor for equine colleges.

    This week the Horsey Pre School is in full steam ahead and Elaine Shaw  will catch up with us all next week as she is busy showing the Yearlings to interested buyers and trainers. Instead I have some stories sent in about just how quickly some ladies got back in the saddle!

    This week’s interview is with Yazmin Brown, mum to one so 3 year old Jack. Yazmin is a keen show jumper and runs a livery yard, who was mucking out the morning she was in early stages of labour before going into the hospital to have Jack and within a week was back to daily early morning chores and tasks at the livery yard.

    The Non Horsey Husband is busy keeping the show on the road whilst I've been struggling with sciatica and ligament pain so we won't be hearing from him this week so I sum up how the two days I've spent on box rest and have been watching the Olympic Eventing and the admiration I have for Team GB.

    Georgia with husband Shaun have had to go down the IVF route to have their daughter Caleah and Georgia has produced some raw and fascinating vlogs on YouTube following that emotional journey and how desperately hard and long the journey can be to having a much longed for baby, whilst also juggling work and having horses. 

    In Tales from the Foaling Unit, Elaine Shaw and I talk about the second week of yearling prep and how everyone is behaving and settling into the routine, she has some teachers pets and she also has some class clowns!

    The Non Horsey Husband and I are going to talk about the mental load and how stress can effect people differently, and if animals and children add to that strain or relieve it.

    This week's Interview is with mum of one, Lorraine Fraser who owns and manages the Red Kite Stud near Verwood.  Red Kite Stud specialises in Thoroughbreds and is a year round labour of love for Lorraine who has worked with all varieties of horses her entire life.
