Episode 103: Children and travel

In this episode of The Aware Parenting Podcast, Marion talks to Helena Mooney, an Aware Parenting instructor, about travelling with children. Both Marion and Helena have travelled frequently between Australia and the UK with babies and young children.

We include information about: how to prepare children for travelling, what we can do on a plane or airport terminal to help things go more smoothly, how we can respond if our child cries on the plane, and how we can listen to feelings when staying with friends or family. We share information relevant to travelling in other ways, such as in the car or on a train, and what you can do if your baby always cries in the car. We also talk about the one thing that we found most helpful for ourselves so that we could play with our children more and listen to more feelings whilst travelling.
