Leviticus 19 also holds up a mirror to our own hearts revealing our sin while also pointing to Jesus Christ as the one who perfectly fulfilled the law of love on the cross. Ultimately, believers are called to walk in this holy love by loving their neighbors.

Christian, you have inherited your name from Jesus Christ. In fact, you have inherited all things from Him; the King over kings, the Lord over lords. He will have us beginning to act like princes and princesses in His royal kingdom. We are to be children of light. We will worship Him who secured these blessings, whose death enacted the last will and testament of the Father, and who established His covenant with that very same death. We owe Him all loyalty and all gratitude – even our very lives. We can agree with Isaac Watts – "love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.

In this sermon we continue in our current series with a sermon from Genesis 17 in which we take a further look at the meaning and significance of circumcision. We will see how, as we make our way through the text, it connects us with God's grace to us in Christ and how it relates to our life together in the church.
