In this episode of our gardening podcast, we explore different ways to get children involved in gardening during Easter Half Term. We discuss various ideas such as creating a themed garden, growing edible plants, and using sensory elements to engage kids.

We also delve into the issues surrounding school funding and how it affects the provision of gardening and outdoor learning opportunities for children. We touch on the role of Ofsted in evaluating schools' approach to outdoor learning and the importance of advocating for these types of activities in our education systems.

To round out the episode, we take a tour of the host's garden and discover the various insects and creatures living in the pond. We discuss the importance of creating habitats for wildlife and the benefits they bring to our gardens.

Overall, this episode provides useful tips and insights for parents and educators looking to inspire children to get involved in gardening and outdoor learning while addressing broader issues in education and sustainability.

This week Lee talks about OFSTED and gives his thoughts on the organisation that inspects and rates schools throughout the UK.

All Lee's thoughts are his own and in no way affiliated with any of the brands or channels he represents.

As a governor, parent and the UK's #1 Children's Gardening Educators, Lee has seen from all sides what the impact of OFSTED can and does to a school and the teachers.

Plus in this weeks podcast Olives back with talk of a school raffle and we pop down the bottom of the garden AND there's chat of the school tour Lee is currently on!
