Children's Gardening Coach: Dear Diary

🌱 Keeping Kids Interested in Gardening! 🌱

This week, Lee is back answering more of your gardening questions! One that comes up time and time again is:

"My child loves gardening at first but loses interest so quickly—how can I keep them engaged?"

It’s a great question, and one many parents and teachers face. The key? Make gardening FUN, fast-paced, and rewarding! Try quick-growing plants like radishes or cress, give them their own mini garden space, and most importantly—let them take charge! Kids love a challenge, so setting little missions or fun competitions can work wonders.

Lee will be sharing more tips this week, so stay tuned! Have you faced this problem? Drop your experiences below! 👇

This week on the Skinny Jean Gardener podcast, we’re diving into some festive fun as Christmas makes its way back onto the agenda! We’re exploring how to get prepped for the holiday season, even if you’re working with small spaces.

Joining me this week is the brilliant Alex Ottley from Alex’s Garden Life, who asks the big question: What can we grow—possibly indoors—for Christmas dinner in small spaces? We’ll be sharing tips to help you create a homegrown feast, no matter how limited your gardening space might be.

Plus, Olive is back to answer Daniel’s question: How can we stop bugs from eating our plants? And for those little ones (or grown-ups) who are scared of the dark, I’ve got some thoughts that might help! We’re even sprinkling in a touch of parenting advice along the way.

Tune in now for all this and more on the Skinny Jean Gardener podcast—don’t miss it!
