In December 2020, Google announced to make a few alterations to the storage policies. These changes will impact a lot of Google Account users in terms of Drive, Photos, and Gmail. It is expected that the new rules will delete the personal files stored on the various Google applications servers without requiring any permission. Hopefully, the impact of the change will be minimal as many uses have uploaded several of their personal files on Google Drive and Photos. Google is enabling some spring cleaning for users that are not using Google services but have an account. This is a way to fight the data protection of Google for users that are away from the account for more than 24 months. The content will be removed for such users and the data will disappear. However, before the removals, Google will send the notification emails to the users to ensure that they can take the pics and other data on their system.
