We have prepared this statement to answer some of the many inquiries that we have had over the last few days about Mr. Noah Green. Naturally, we, like most of you, were disturbed watching the news of an assault on the U.S. Capitol where one police officer was killed, one was injured, and Mr. Green was killed.

We speak on behalf of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, the members of his family, all of the registered Muslim members of the Nation of Islam, and all people of good will everywhere, in that, we are in sympathy with the victims of this tragedy. And we are in sympathy with the families of these victims. And we, like you, can only offer them condolences and our deepest sympathy for their loss.  Our prayers are for the full recovery of the officer who was injured.

Black man shot and killed by cops after alleged “air fresheners in the mirror” offense

On Sunday (April 11), a 20-year-old Black man by the name of Daunte Wright was shot and killed in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota by police during a traffic stop. According to ABC News, the young man was shot after getting back into his car and trying to drive away from the scene. Daunte would later crash his car into another vehicle a few blocks away, and be pronounced died shortly after.

An expert witness told jurors in the murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on Wednesday that Chauvin used "deadly" force on George Floyd and kept his knee on Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes.

Sgt. Jody Stiger, a Los Angeles Police Department officer who has conducted about 2,500 use-of-force reviews in his career, said the initial force used on Floyd was appropriate because Floyd was resisting arrest as officers tried to get him into their patrol car.🤔

A 30-year-old woman is in custody after her three kids, aged 3, 2 and 6 months, were stabbed to death at a home in Reseda Saturday.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call from an apartment in the 8000 block of Reseda Boulevard around 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the bodies of three young children, prompting a search for a suspect.

Earl Simmons, better known as the rapper DMX, died Friday at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, N.Y., according to a statement from his family. He had been on life support for the past few days following a heart attack. He was 50.

"Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end. He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him," the statement said. "Earl's music inspired countless fans across the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever. We appreciate all of the love and support during this incredibly difficult time."

The sixth day of the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former police officer accused of killing George Floyd, brought two key witnesses to the stand: the doctor who spent 30 minutes trying to save Mr. Floyd’s life before pronouncing him dead, and the chief of the Minneapolis Police Department.

Both witnesses provided testimony that could bolster the arguments of the prosecution, which has argued that Mr. Floyd died because Mr. Chauvin knelt on him for more than nine minutes, rather than by complications of drug use or a heart condition. Here are the key takeaways from Monday.

Dr. Bradford T. Wankhede Langenfeld, who was a senior resident at the Hennepin County Medical Center, said he believed that Mr. Floyd died from a lack of oxygen. Mr. Floyd’s cause of death will prove to be a determining factor in this case. The prosecution has maintained that “asphyxia,” or a deficiency of oxygen, caused Mr. Floyd’s death. During a cross-examination, Dr. Wankhede Langenfeld told Eric J. Nelson, Mr. Chauvin’s lawyer, that asphyxia can be caused by a number of factors, including drug use; a toxicology report found methamphetamine and fentanyl in Mr. Floyd’s system.

The first week of witness testimony in the trial of Derek Chauvin, charged with the murder of George Floyd, ended Friday afternoon with a veteran Minneapolis police officer who explained the training officers receive.

Lt. Richard Zimmerman told the court that kneeling on the neck of a suspect is potentially lethal and there is "absolutely" an obligation to provide medical intervention as soon as necessary. Zimmerman called Chauvin's use of force on Floyd “totally unnecessary."
