Philly-area clinic staffer berates an expectant mother for asking for a doctor’s note to take off work.

A nurse from Philadelphia going haywire on a Black pregnant patient. The woman had gone to the doctor’s office to receive a note for her maternity leave, reported Hollywood Unlocked. Instead of meeting her request, the situation escalated into laptop cases being swung and the cops being called.

The video begins moments after the Karen called the cops on the pregnant woman, who identifies as Jillian. In a story-time video Jillian explained that she had gone to the doctor for a note to secure her maternity leave because she was experiencing pain. Jillian said the nurse gave her an aggressive, uncomfortable cervical exam, then proceeded to tell her she was fine to go to work. Jillian is 7 months pregnant.

She explained to the nurse that she’d rather speak to her doctor and have them write her a note, so the nurse had the secretary call the doctor for her. After the nurse made a shady remark at Jillian, she called the nurse a weirdo … and then the Karen called the cops.

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving British monarch, has died at 96

Queen Elizabeth II, whose seven decades on the throne of the United Kingdom was a longer reign than any other British monarch, has died at the age of 96.

The queen "died peacefully" on Thursday afternoon at Balmoral Castle, her estate in the Scottish Highlands, royal family officials announced.

Her son Charles, 73, is now king and will be known as King Charles III. After Thursday's announcement, a flood of condolences came in from all corners of the globe: world officials, cultural icons and everyday people alike. In recent years, the queen had taken on fewer public duties, occasionally canceling appearances in which her attendance was once tradition. Mobility issues had troubled her in recent months, and she had taken to spending much of her time at Windsor Castle, the family's country estate near London, and at Balmoral, the castle in Scotland. The death of Queen Elizabeth II revived longstanding criticism in the US over the monarchy’s enrichment from the British empire’s violent colonization of African, Asian and Caribbean nations and their diasporas.

Since her death on Thursday, American commentators, academics, and a former US diplomat, among others, took to social media and elsewhere to call for fully wrestling with the British monarchy’s lasting influence in light of the monarch’s death.

While UBER and LYFT may be two of the best-known private vehicle transport services used by the public today, they are not the only ones.  However, this kidnapping scam is starting to show up in cities all over the world now.  It is important that the users of these services remain focused on who is actually picking them.

Parking Lot Scams

Another new technique used is to create a reason for a woman approaching her car to pause before entering it, so as to create an opportunity to “grab,” her.  They may also create a reason for her to exit the car focused on something other than her surroundings.

As an example, women are reporting that as they approach their vehicle, they realize that a shopping cart has been “zip-tied,” to the door handle of their car!  Since most women do not carry a pocketknife to cut the zip-ties free…they are caught off guard as to why this has been done.  The usual reaction is that it was done by someone they may know as a joke.  However, what it really does is insure they cannot enter their vehicle!  The next thing they know they are being dragged into an adjacent vehicle!

Women Asking for Help Scam

Unfortunately, sex-traffickers are also increasing the psychological sophistication of the “scams” they use to trick their intended victims.  It is becoming increasingly common for other women to be used to gain trust and put the target at ease by female compatriots making the initial approach.

The ruse may be a simple request to use the victim’s phone to make an emergency call because their phone is dead.  It could be a request for them to help with an insignificant task.  Perhaps they need change for the valet or help with directions.  The entire effort is designed to get the victim to NOT focus on their surroundings and to portray the appearance to anyone else that these women are comfortable with each other and may even be acquaintances. 

At the first possible chance, they are forced into a vehicle that simply slows down beside them which then speeds away.  It is imperative that women recognize this new dynamic in the ever-expanding repertories of techniques, tricks and scams that sex-traffickers are using.  Unfortunately, you can no longer conclude that anyone approaching you, male or female is not a threat.  Simply remain focused on not just them but your entire surroundings.  Do not let them get within arms-reach.  Offer to call 911 for them if they need help but do not surrender your phone to a stranger for any reason.
