It's always fun to see people enjoying mutual time off. Jiajia's mom gets a haircut, hunkers down to play mahjong with the visiting neighbors who returned to their hometown for the holiday, and Jiajia is irritated by a wedding party which is blocking the road.  

看到人们享受共同的假期时光总是很有趣。佳佳的妈妈去剪了个头发，然后坐下来和回乡过节的邻居们一起打麻将，而佳佳却被一场堵住道路的婚礼惹得心烦意乱。

Tommorow is May Day in China, which means a feww days off to enjoy the sunshine and relax. Jiajia is loving the idea of vacation but hating the heat. Street food is in abundance, so it's  time to head out in the cool night air and grab some snacks.

明天是中国的五一劳动节，这意味着可以享受阳光，放松几天。佳佳喜欢假期这个想法，但不喜欢炎热的天气。街头小吃琳琅满目，所以是时候在凉爽的夜晚出门，去吃点小吃。

Jiajia and Chris discuss the friendly, but ugly loach, blue green algae, and leptospirosis. Chris freaks out and says she'll never put her head under thee lake water again. 

佳佳和克里斯讨论了长相丑陋但很友好的泥鳅、蓝藻，以及钩端螺旋体病。克里斯惊恐地说，她以后再也不会把头伸到湖水里了。

We revisit Wuxiang Temple Reservoir and Chris relates her jasmine experience while Jiajia talks about the mighty kingfisher and why a hammock is a good thing on a lazy day by the lake. 

我们重访了无相寺水库，Chris分享了她与茉莉花的经历，而佳佳则讲述了翠鸟的威猛，以及为什么在湖边慵懒的日子里，吊床是个好东西。

We start talking egrets, but quickly move on to guns, power hammers, safety glasses, talking in your sleep, and oh yeah, finally back to egrets. We also learn that Jiajia talks in his sleep and sometimes Chris dreams in Chinese, or at least she think she does. 

我们一开始聊白鹭，但很快又说到枪、风镐、护目镜、说梦话，哦对了，最后又回到白鹭。我们还了解到，佳佳会在睡梦中说话，而克里斯有时会用中文做梦，至少她觉得是这样。

We talk about the trials and tribulations of reading and recording books aloud, Jiajia and Tommy's adventure on the mountain with disappearing snacks and end with a recounting of shaving Tommy's furry paws to make her a better mountain climber. 

我们谈到了大声朗读和录制书籍的种种困难，讲述了佳佳和汤米在山上零食神秘消失的冒险经历，最后回顾了给汤米剃毛的爪子，让她成为一个更好的登山者的过程。

Jiajia tells us his secret perfect cabbage recipe, Tommy enjoys rubbing her back on the carpet, and we talk more about the "Chinese Shakespeare", Tang Xianzu, the statue and pavilion built in his honor at Shakespeare's birthplace at Stratford-upon-Avon and the annual festival they hold in Tang Xianzu's honor at his birthplace, Linchuan, Jiangxi Province.

Happy Earth Day everyone! Chris reminisces about the very first Earth Day in 1970, Jiajia talks about magpies as good luck and both rhapsodize about the increased crane population in China.
