In ancient Chinese mythology, Kuafu was a giant who decided to chase the sun across the world. He ran over mountains, rivers, forests, and plains, trying to reach the blazing light in the sky.
But the closer he came to the sun, the more terrible the heat became. Thirst overwhelmed him, and he finally fell before reaching his goal. Before he died, he threw away his walking stick, which became a peach forest that gave shade and fruit to later travelers.
This is a myth about ambition, courage, failure, and the lasting meaning of what we leave behind.
