This is a verse about complete surrender. No japa, yoga, pooja or sadhana can produce Self-Realisation or God realisation. It can at best purify our mind, enable surrender and invoke the Divine Grace. Final realisation happens purely by Grace alone.

We explore the meaning of verse 6 of Rurdrashtakam where Bhagwan is addressed as Beyond number, ever blessed, bringing about universal destruction at the end of each round of creation, a source of perpetual delight to the virtuous, Slayer of the demon Tripura, Consciousness and Bliss personified, dispeller of delusion, be propitious, my lord, be propitious, O Destroyer of Cupid.
