Chino Vv - Podcast

Seven years in the making, Chino returns with the highly anticipated second instalment of the Moschino Garage podcast.

To mark 30 years of UK Garage, Chino has meticulously curated a selection of personal favourites in this 60-minute UnderDeep special.

This mix is more than just music; it’s a journey back to the golden era of UK Garage—a time when the beats were raw, the vibes were pure, and the fashion was undeniably Moschino.

Whether you’re a newcomer to the sound or a seasoned raver looking to relive the euphoria of the 90s, this podcast is a ticket to the past. It’s a celebration of a scene where vinyl was king, the attire was bold, and the energy in the clubs was electric. Horns blared, whistles pierced the air, and the crowd roared with every drop, shouting BOOOOO! in unison.

This is more than just a mix; it’s a tribute to the good times, the great people, and the unforgettable memories that UK Garage has given us.

Recorded live in the vibrant heart of Downtown Msheireb, Doha, this episode features a lineup of legendary producers and DJs, complemented by some of the most iconic vocals that defined an era.

TJ Cases | Booker T | Steve Gurley Remix | Smokin Beats | Tuff Jam | TJR, Xavier | Wookie | Hold On | DYNK | Groove Control | Industry Standard | DEA Project | Chris Mack | Big Bird | Sovereign | Todd Edwards | Dreem Teem | Seven Wonders.

As the mix draws to a close, Chino pays homage to his hometown, Huddersfield, with a UK Garage classic that resonates deeply in the north of England and beyond. Crazy by Seven Wonders—a true anthem that still sets dancefloors alight—serves as a fitting salute to the roots that shaped his journey.

A Nostalgic Journey of UK Garage with Chino

This session is not just a mix; it's a passion project that's been brewing in my heart and mind for ages. In 2024, I decided it was time to dust off a few of my cherished vinyl collection and delve deep into the vault.

My mission? To fuse the essence of both new and classic tracks, infusing fresh energy into the ever-evolving UK Garage scene.

My love affair with music began in Manchester in 2002, on a humble pair of belt drive turntables. There, amidst the vibrant beats and soulful rhythms, House and Garage music creatively captured my heart, setting me on an unforgettable path in the world and life of DJing. These sounds weren't just music to my ears; they were the heartbeat of my journey.

Following on from Professor X's latest Vinyl Vandals guest mix and the unforgettable performances of DJ EZ and Todd Edwards at Mas Tiempo (DrumSheds London), I knew it was time for me to step up. With the Vinyl Vandals community as my stage, I'm ready to pay homage to the genre that started it all for me.

Expect an eclectic mix that reflects the genre's rich history while pushing its boundaries. From underground gems to mainstream hits, each track is carefully selected to showcase UK Garage's vibrant energy and diverse soundscape.

This is more than just a mix; it's a celebration of UK Garage, where the past meets the present.
