I recently watched “Oppenheimer” and understood 20% of it…lol On a serious note though, i think it’s worth exploring the whole setting and theme of the film as well as the history of Japanese film industry bc the film has not been released yet in Japan.

I’ve been in the States for quite a while, but using my second language at my workplace still does make me feel like I’m not quite “there” yet.

I recently read this book called “Convenience Store Woman” — it’s a Japanese novel translated into 30+ other languages. I’m a no hard-core book reader, but the fact that I read through the whole thing without falling asleep, in my humble opinion, means that it deserves an episode here. so here you go.

we’re in for a long ride today—high school is an interesting time for many of us, and it was no exception for me. this is the first portion of the episode where I talk about stuff I learned in high school as a non-American.
