It’s not uncommon for people of faith feel unworthy of the blessings of God. We may feel that our sin is too great, lasted too long or felt too good for us to be forgiven. Yet Jesus walked in the same human path as each of us and is no stranger to the temptation we face each day. That’s why grace is such a gift. We don’t deserve it and couldn’t earn it, yet our God loves us enough to cause our cups to overflow. So as we stand on the edge of a new day, let’s have the faith to receive the blessings, favor and grace of our Father who loves us so. Pray this prayer with me.

Prayer for the Faith to Forgive

Forgiveness requires faith in God’s ability to soften and restore our hearts. It does not require us to right the wrong or judge those who hurt us, simply trust that God is able

I know forgiving can be hard. We don’t want to excuse the hurtful, harmful actions of others and if we are honest, we don’t want to lose. We don’t want to admit that we trusted someone or something and it got the best of us. But forgiveness is for the forgiver. We can’t move forward with all that God has for us when we have unforgiveness in our hearts. Unforgiveness cripples our ability to have a right relationship with our father. So, let’s go before God with humble hearts seeking a strengthening of our faith to forgive. Pray this prayer with me.

Prayer for the Faith to Recover

When we are knocked down, it takes faith to get back up. We have to hold on to God’s hand as we steady ourselves, gain strength and gain wisdom to continue on our path.

Faith is a powerful component when we are recovering. Whether we are recovering from physical injuries, emotional pain or from trauma experienced long ago, it takes faith to escape the net of pain around our bodies and our hearts. It’s important to strengthen our faith with gratefulness for what we still have and to prepare for the better that God has on the other side. Let’s agree with God today that His divine plan means only good towards us and that this too will work out for our good. Pray this prayer with me.

Prayer for the Faith to Trust

There is none more faithful and worthy of our trust than God our father. We can trust God because He is faithful and our God never changes.

We make God small when we stop short of believing only what we can understand. God doesn’t need us to understand, He needs us to trust. And as followers of Jesus we are called to walk by faith and not by sight. Miracles, signs and wonders were done to convince unbelievers. Believers, however, operate in expectation and anticipation of a mighty move of God at any moment and we trust that it shall be done. Let’s agree with God today in prayer for the faith to trust. Growing pains is a phrase for a reason. Yes we will feel some anxiety, uncertainty and anticipation when something new is expected of us. And It can be uncomfortable when we go from a place we know well to one we don’t know at all. But there are staying pains as well. If we aren’t growing, we are missing out on opportunities to be used by God in new and exciting ways. God’s will, shall be done. Don’t we want to be a part of it?
