Choosing Yourself: Healing & Self-awareness

Constantly raising the bar and not honoring who you are and where you are today is easy to do sometimes … reflecting on growth that I’ve undergone for so long, in private 🥹 To some it may seem as a switch overnight or even being a completely different person. But in truth I am the woman God has always seen me to be, I answered the calling. I am her and I am proud and thankful 🤍

I was blessed to fully enjoy my 10 year class reunion and all it had to offer. It was beautiful, nostalgic, and FUN! To be alive and able while seeing so many gorgeous faces and good energies … it allowed me to reflect on how different I am now versus then. The growth, wisdom, the confidence, I know the girl I was then is proud of who I am today 🥹🤍

What led me here, to sharing my voice, to living fully in my truth .. from childhood to 28 years of age. Hear my vulnerable, personal story about me reclaiming my voice and my power after a life where it was dimmed by external circumstances and lack of confidence 🤍 When my voice was dimmed, it shined through other creative pursuits. A beautiful journey God led me on, step by step, all while not even realizing it was leading me right into my truth and my purpose in this world. 🥹🤍

Letting go and walking with faith and not by sight can be scary, beyond scary. But what’s waiting on the other side to where God is leading you is better than you could ever imagine 🫶🏽 Once the mind stops trying to grasp control or allow fear to win, magic happens, blessings and miracles happen. Trust and surrender to the process 🤍

Your soul needs you to be YOU, not who society, social media, friends, or even family expects you to be 🫶🏽Take your power back caring how you are perceived, if you’re liked, disliked, etc .. that’s none of your business. Your only business is to be YOU and allow the parts of you you may hide from the world to be seen and loved 🥰

Learning yourself is the best thing you could ever do in life. When you are whole, you no longer seek others to fill a void. When you are confident from within, you no longer seek external validation to be confident. When you choose yourself and love yourself, you will never expect anyone to abandon yourself for you. When you stop looking, love will creep up and find you. When you have your own identity and self concept, it’s impossible to ever lose yourself 🫶🏽

What’s standing in the way of you and your most confident self ? From doing the “thing” ? From following your dreams and bringing what you want into reality ?? You are literally an extension of God, act like it! The only thing that stands in our way most of the time is our own self limiting beliefs. Take you power back ‼️🥰

Surrendering to the unknown has been by far the scariest thing I’ve done in my life lol. I used to be someone that needed control and logic, now I operate purely from intuition and faith 🤍 The transition is a day by day process but it has given me back presence and sovereignty 🥹 To actually LIVE life and not just survive it 🥳

It’s so easy to shrink yourself in a world that demands perfection. But being your authentic self and expressing it is the best thing you can do for the soul! No matter what way it is in. Imagine if Dr. Martin Luther King Jr didn’t share his dream because he was scared of how he would be perceived ? The world is going to talk anyway, BE YOU! And share what you soul wants to share 🤍
