There are moments when the hardest part of faith isn’t believing God can do something. It’s trusting Him when He doesn’t seem to be doing anything.

You prayed, but nothing changed.

You’ve been doing your best, but the pressure keeps building.

You thought God told you where you were going, but somewhere between the promise and the destination, problems arose.

That’s exactly where the disciples found themselves in Mark 4:35–41.

They were fighting for their lives while Jesus was asleep in the boat.

And eventually they asked the question many of us have thought:

“Master, carest thou not that we perish?”

God, do You see this?

Do You care?

Why aren’t You doing something?

This week in PUT YOUR FAITH WHERE YOUR FEAR IS, we’re talking about FAITH HAS TO TRUST.

Jesus told them, “Let us pass over unto the other side” before the storm ever started. The storm didn’t cancel what Jesus said. And His silence while sleeping didn’t mean He wasn’t present.

Sometimes faith is trusting God when you can’t trace what He’s doing.

Sometimes faith is remembering what He said before the storm started.

And sometimes faith is realizing that if Jesus is still in the boat, you have not been abandoned.

God’s silence is not God’s absence.

Some days, the hardest thing to manage isn’t what’s happening around you. It’s where your mind keeps going because of it. You can start the week feeling confident, then one email comes. One conversation happens. The money gets tight. The plans change. Someone disappoints you. You get news you weren’t expecting. Suddenly, what you were trusting God for yesterday feels completely different today.

Peter knew that feeling. He had enough faith to get out of the boat and walk on water, but when his attention shifted from Jesus to the storm around him, fear took over.

That’s where many of us find ourselves. We took the step. We prayed. We obeyed. We started moving forward. But now the wind is blowing, and we’re questioning everything. Can you relate?

This Sunday, Dr. Tanya is focusing on FAITH HAS TO FOCUS from Matthew 14:22–33. The storm was already there when Peter started walking. The storm wasn’t what changed. His focus did.

Maybe you don’t need God to change everything around you this week. Maybe you need Him to help you refocus in the middle of it.

What do you do when God tells you to move, but you can’t see a way forward?

In Week 2 of our "Put Your Faith Where Your Fear Is" series, we journey into Exodus 14 as Israel stands trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army. With an impossible obstacle in front of them and fear telling them to go back, God gives them a clear command: "Go forward."

This message is a reminder that faith doesn’t always move when the path is clear. Faith moves because God has spoken.

Maybe you’ve been praying, waiting, analyzing, and asking God for another sign. Maybe the next step scares you because you don’t know how everything is going to work.

This message will challenge you to trust God even when you can’t see the whole path, don’t have every answer, and don’t feel fearless.
