Joey Salmingo is a TV Host and the founder of The FATE Initiative. On-air, Joey has covered events like The Academy Awards, with E! News, hosted shows like Off The Menu, among others. He shares his story of how he transitioned from a career in the culinary world, to the red carpet. Then, he tells the story of his sister, Joanna: A life-loving free spirit, who lost her life, in 2018, to an allergic reaction to her favorite dessert. After this tragic event, Joey founded FATE (Food Allergy Training and Education), where he carries on his sister’s legacy by showing people just how serious food allergies can be, and how we can all be on the lookout to help each other. Kylie and Joey have a conversation about living with food allergies, dealing with grief, the true value of having this day- with the people that you love-, and the power we all hold to create something good.
