Win Lose Or Die - Live @ SoundHive by Chris Ilett

I would burn all up for you

Flickers falling from the sky

Like a comet, like a comet

There’s a beauty to the truth

That your sun’s a brighter light

Than a comet, than a comet

I could taunt the stars

Paint the seasons, pen memoirs

Or dance in retrograde

Awaiting our solar parade

A demo of a 2 minute track I'm working on. If you can make it through the first minute you might be in for a surprise. Consider that fair warning.

Recorded live at SoundHive Social, Duffy's Bar, Leicester. December 2024

We have no luxury of choice to put us right

Two wayward fires burning in the night

Think not of this as a life we planned

They would not free us, they would not understand

As the embers fade and all is dust

The sentiment and lust

Has gone despite desire

It’s burning on the pyre

All I am is yours

Incendiary carnate; my ardent miracle

Enkindled by your fate; this blaze empirical

Still Inti Nari burning, now far apart

Centuries turn us into dust, leave a scar

Speak brutal words, something I can erase

Memories recur our heavenly embrace

Pride of place an ashen memory

Where once was chemisty

You’re lost on distant shores

But Nari I am yours

All I am is yours

Incendiary carnate; my ardent miracle

Enkindled by your fate; this blaze empirical

Open skies bring their Gods of rain

But this fire will remain

Time to seize the fate

History is late

We will surpass this flood

I swear down on my blood

All I am is yours

Live at SoundHive Social, Dec 2024

An old demo I made in Garageband in about 2011
