As I continue to review the lessons in my book, 10 Steps 2 Freedom, this week I want to talk about purpose. We all have a purpose in life and identifying what this is will help us to make the right decisions, the ones that will lead us to a life that we desire. Do you know what your purpose is?
Over the next 11 weeks I will be sharing the principals from my book, 10 Steps 2 Freedom. I wrote this book to guide you through the process of how to live the life that you desire and use my own story to illustrate the path. This weeks episode covers the introduction: Life is not a dress rehearsal.
As a leader you are either preparing for the future or repairing what has happened in the past. My aim with this podcast series is to guide you through the process of becoming a preparer, not a repairer. I will share techniques and skills that I know will transform you into a great leader and provide you with the tools to develop other leaders around you.
You may have heard the term "Mastermind" but do you know what it means?
Napoleon Hill says: No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind, and he defines her term as: "Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose."
Whether you want to advance your career, start a new business (either full time or on the side), improve your relationships, or just become the best version of yourself, you need to associate with people who are on the same journey. Choose these people wisely and you will be destined for success.
In the episode 6 of my podcast I shared my origin story and over the next few episodes I will be diving deeper into my journey and how my awareness has changed. We all have dreams in life, whether we are consciously aware of them or not. As I continue my studies I see more examples where people's dreams are not in harmony with their thoughts and actions, in which case they are unlikely to manifest into reality. I am a virtual mentee of Walt Disney who was a dreamer and he backed his dreams with thoughts and actions to get results. What do you want from your life and, more importantly, what are you doing to achieve it?
In this episode I want to share with you my origin story, that is how I got to be where I am today. I will share some of the internal and external struggles that I faced which ultimately led me to being able to instigate a plan that would lead to my destiny. Now, it isn't that simple, as you will hear, and in later episodes I will dive a little deeper into each segment. The truth is, you can achieve the life you desire if you are prepared to put in the work and reach out for help along the way.
We all influence other people by the actions and behaviors that we exhibit every day. When we influence other people it means that they are following what we do and therefore, we are all leaders - whether we have the word "leader" in our official title or not.
We should be striving to be consistent in our actions and behaviors and when we do so this will have a compounding effect as other people follow us. Consistency compounds and eventually becomes contagious so we need to be aware of how we are behaving so that we are compounding the right behavior.
