In this Psalm, David assures believers who are experiencing a "fragmented heart" based on

GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY and

GOD'S COVENANT FAITHFULNESS

He further addresses the various enemies try to cause our hearts to become fragmented:

PERSONAL FRAILTY

PERILOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

POWERFUL ENEMIES

On Judgment Day, evidence will prove how we've responded to Christ and therefore, where we will spend eternity.

THE CLEAR SEPARATION

THE CARING ARE SURPRISED

THE CALLOUS ARE SHOCKED

Jesus's "parable of the talents" teaches us that Christians show we are ready for Christ to return by working hard in HIs service until He comes. In the parable we see the following truths:

THE SERVANTS MADE PLANS

THE GOOD SERVANTS WERE PRAISED

THE WICKED SERVANTS WERE PUNISHED

The most necessary way to be ready for Christ's return is to be saved.

Christians have PREPARED for Christ’s return by believing the gospel.

We examine three distinctions between the ready and the unready:

WELCOME V UNWELCOME

In the last half of the Olivet Discourse, Jesus is instructing his people in how to be ready for his return.

Christians show that we’re ready for Christ’s return when we take good care of each other.

A HOMEOWNER

A GOOD SERVANT

A WICKED SERVANT

Though we don’t know the precise time of the (very) last day, we are told how to recognize it when it comes.

It will be marked by three characteristics. It will be...
