Welcome to a new season of In the Word with Malcolm Webber! We’re starting off 2026 with another biblical exposition, this time of Paul’s epistle to the Philippians. This series won’t go chapter and verse through the book, but will jump around, going deep into vital components of Paul’s teaching throughout this powerful letter. Let’s jump in!
In the western church, Christianity is a personal transaction between the individual and God. Consequently, Christian maturity is also understood in individual terms. In the New Testament, however, there is a very close relationship between the church and the believers’ maturing union with Christ. The inward life of Jesus in you is expressed in self-giving love and true servanthood in community. In other words: Christ builds Community!
Find out more in the first part of Malcolm’s message on Philippians 2:1-4, “Christ Builds Community.”
