David Reminds us to hold on in the tough times, because God is still with us. 

Paul wants to remind us to work to reconcile people to God through Jesus.  

In Luke 6 Jesus reminds us that we must build on the right foundation.  In Ezekiel 36 we are told that God will renew and rebuild the heart to be better.  Change can only happen if Holy Spirit is working in us.

Romans 2 and Proverbs 11 remind us that we will be judged for how we have used the knowledge and mercy God has given us. 

We are reminded in Scripture that we will be judged for how we treat others.  It is best to treat one another in love equally.

In a time when we are watching anger. protests, destruction, and murder on the news.  Our hearts should break against the sins of injustice and the sins of anger.  Media has polarized our nation and the heart of the issue is sin.  Jesus wept over his broken society and we should weep over our own.

Matthew 25  The Sheep and Goats tells us quite bluntly that we'd better live ready, and that means serving the Kingdom.

We are given blessings to reinvest in God's Kingdom, and one day we will be held accountable for what we've been given. 

Many Christians feel that persecution doesn't happen to believers, and some even have a false hope of escaping it.  However, Jesus teaches a very different truth on persecution and faith.
