Jesus - The Greater Enoch

• The cosmic powers of darkness

conspired to kill God’s Son by nailing

Him to the cross, but Jesus triumphed

over them and put them to open

shame through the resurrection.

• Having been raised in power, Jesus

descended to the underworld and

declared victory over the fallen angels

who sinned in the days of Noah before

the flood. [1 Peter 3:18-22]

• Jesus has given us authority over the

spiritual forces of evil and

commissioned us to regain enemy

territory by making disciples of all

nations. [1 Peter 3:18-22]

Go in the power of the Holy Spirit and the authority of Jesus Christ and reclaim God’s Kingdom one soul at a time.

Can I Get a Witness?

1 Peter 3:14-17

From the moment we choose to follow Christ, we become a witness.

We must always be ready to give a reason for not just what we believe, but also why. (1 Peter 3:14-17)

In everything we must treat others with gentleness and respect and remember that we can win an argument and at the same time lose the person.

As We Go …

Study to show yourself approved unto God and always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you for the reason of the hope that is in you.

God’s Gift of Marriage — 1 Peter 3:1-7

A husband and wife are equal in the eyes of God as image bearers but necessarily have different roles and responsibilities in marriage. [1 Peter 3:1-7]

A godly wife prioritizes her inner beauty above her outward appearance and willingly places herself in God’s hands under the authority of her husband. [1 Peter 3:1-6]

A godly husband is the spiritual leader of the home who exercises strength under control and sacrificially serves his wife in humility. [1 Peter 3:1-7]

As our marriages go, so goes our future! [1 Peter 3:1-7]

As We Go …

Husbands and wives give yourselves first to God and then stand strong together against the enemy because love is worth fighting for.

Jesus the Firstfruits of the Resurrection 1 Corinthians 15:20-27

• Jesus was resurrected on the appointed day of Firstfruits, the firstborn from among the dead. [1 Corinthians 15:20-27]

• The Holy Spirit was poured out upon believers at Pentecost, the firstfruits promise of a future resurrection. [1 Corinthians 15:20-27]

• Jesus will return to earth at the end of this age to gather together all believers from all time at the final harvest. [1 Corinthians 15:20-27]

As We Go …

Rest in Christ’s victory over death and the grave and rejoice in the hope of the resurrection.

Submission and Service in Exile — 1 Peter 2:13-20

God has established defined roles of authority in the family, church, and government to promote good and punish evil. [1 Peter 2:13-17]

God’s people are commanded to humbly submit and obey the proper authorities, unless we are forced to do anything against God and His word. [1 Peter 2:13-17]

We are called to be good and faithful servants, following the example of Jesus, who did not come to be served but to serve. [1 Peter 2:18-20]

As We Go … Let us humble ourselves under God and in due time we will be exalted.

The Word of God Endures Forever

1 Peter 1:22-25

• God created the universe by the power

of His Word. (1 Peter 1:22-25)

• The Word became flesh and entered

His own creation to overcome the

curse of sin and death.

(1 Peter 1:22-25)

• No one can enter God’s Kingdom

unless he is born again from above.

(1 Peter 1:22-25)

• The gospel is the power of God unto

salvation, generating everlasting life for

all who believe. (1 Peter 1:22-25)

As We Go …

Treasure God’s word in your heart above all else, hold fast to the truth, and sow the seeds of life wherever you go.

Jesus Our Passover Lamb —

1 Peter 1:17-21

• Passover, like all of God’s appointed

feasts, serves as a prophetic pattern of

the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

• God ransoms us from bondage with

the precious blood of Christ — our

perfect Passover Lamb.

• The blood of Christ is sufficient to

cover the sins of the whole world but is

only applied to those who believe.

(1 Peter 1:17-21)

• Once we are free, we should not

abuse our freedom and become slaves

to sin but rather serve God and love

one another. (1 Peter 1:17-21)

As You Go … If the Son has set you free, then use your freedom to serve God and love one another and so fulfill the law of Christ!

Remember God

Ecclesiastes 11-12

Remember God daily before you forget who you are. [Ecclesiastes 12:1-8]

Respect God because He will bring every secret thing into judgment. [Ecclesiastes 12:13-14]

Obey God and keep His commandments for this our expression of love for God and others. [Ecclesiastes 12:13-14]
