Facing enemies:
1. Make sure you are living righteously. See 2 Tim 3:12. Don’t confuse the consequences of bad decisions or the ignoring of the Holy Spirit with persecution. In addition, don’t confuse immaturity and emotional dysfunction with persecution.
2. If you are a true follower of Jesus Christ, someone will always be upset with you. Expect it. See Luke 6:26; John 16-17.
3. Know how to avoid toxic relationships.
4. Know how to attach to health-giving relationships.
5. Love your enemies and pray for your persecutors. See Matthew 5:43-45.
6. Admit need and ask for prayer among those believers willing to agonize in prayer with you.
7. Do not let your enemies define your identity nor your purpose.
