Josh and Rach are back for another term, looking forward to another term of DEBRIEF: reflecting on what God has been saying in our groups and services throughout the past week. Genesis 1 is where we're at today, following the start of our SEASON ONE series. They reflect on how God has been at work in creation, as well as briefly chatting about some of the conversation surrounding science and God!

In the beginning, God made the heavens and Earth. This might be something you've heard a lot, or something you've not heard before. Josh takes us on a short journey through some reflections about the first chapter in the Bible, understanding more about the God of the Bible, our wonderful creator.

Josh and Andee reflect on speaking to God, and Jesus' words in John 11:1-13. The relationship we have with Jesus and an ability to communicate with him is beautiful, and reflecting on how Jesus calls us to pray will hopefully be helpful for you!

Following Jesus shapes every single aspect of our lives as Christians, and it means we have a relationship with God! A key part of that relationship (other than listening, which we looked at last week) is speaking to God in prayer! Josh reflects on Luke 11:1-13 on what a relationship with Jesus will mean for the way that we pray.

Part of following Jesus 24/7 is having a relationship with him 24/7! And a key part of that relationship is listening to him: spending time getting to know him, and hearing his Word. Josh reflects on Psalm 119:97-104 some key characteristics of God's Word, and how we can be listening to him!

Josh and Rach have a chat about what following Jesus 24/7 means for loving our families. It can definitely be hard sometimes! They also discuss some of the complexities of the word "submit" as used in the Colossians 3 passage we look at. fun!

Followers of Jesus have been loved by God to love God and others. But does that include our families??? Answer: Yes. Rach unpacks Colossians 3 for us and shows why and how we can be loving our families well.

What does following Jesus 24/7 have to do with trusting in God for decision making? Great question. Josh and Rach chat through some of the implications of God being in control all the time, and the comfort and humility that brings us as we make decisions. They also think through the radical priorities Jesus gives those who follow him.

Making decisions is hard. But we all have to do it! So how do we make decisions while trusting that God is in control? Will my decisions impact the future too much? Josh helps us see what James 4 has to say about God's control over the future, as well as how to think about the priorities in decision making based on how following Jesus shapes this.
