Have you ever looked at your past or your family history and wondered if your story really matters?In the final message of our verse by verse journey through the book of Ruth, we look at Ruth 4:13-22. At first glance, the book ends with a genealogy. A list of names that many people would normally skip. But this family record reveals something powerful about the way God works.From Naomi’s bitterness to Ruth’s faithfulness, from Boaz’s redemption to the birth of Obed, this story ultimately leads to King David and eventually to Jesus Christ. What looked like a small family story in Bethlehem was actually part of God’s plan to bring the Redeemer into the world.And the amazing truth is that the same God who was working through those generations is still working today. He still redeems broken people. He still restores lives. And He still uses ordinary people for His purposes.

Have you ever wanted something… until you found out what it would actually cost?In Ruth 4:1-12, we see that exact scenario. One man had the legal right to rescue a struggling family, but when the full price was revealed, he stepped back. Another man stepped forward and paid it.And that scene points to something far greater.In this message, we talk about the real cost of our sin. Why we need redemption. She has eaten his food. She has received protection. This passage reminds us that even in hard seasons, God remains gracious and faithful. And no matter how far someone has wandered, God’s grace is always calling them back.
