2 Cor. 8:13-15 13 For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened, but that as a matter of fairness 14 your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness. 15 As it is written, “Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack.”

Eph. 4:15b-16 .. speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
“Committed to Community, Pt.1”
Acts 2:42
Heb. 10:24-25 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
1 Pet. 2:2, Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation. Spiritual babies become spiritual adults and some become spiritual leaders, if they’re called and gifted for that.
2 Tim. 4:2-4 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound[a] teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
Jo. 13:34-35 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
2 Cor. 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Psa. 17:15; 16:10-11 As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness… 16:10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. 11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
1 Cor. 15:16, 20-22 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. .. 20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
Psa. 40:1-3 He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.

The Conviction (v. 37)
Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart..
The Change (vv. 38-40)
Ro. 6:3-4 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Jo. 14:16-17a, 26 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper,[f] to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth,.. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Isa. 46:9–10: “I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.’”

Love God, Love People - the Greatest Commandment
Matt. 22:36-40
First Priority (vv. 36-38)
Jo. 5:42 But I know that you do not have the love of God within you. ;8:42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me.
Psa. 34:8 8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! 119:103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psa. 42:1-2 As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?[; 63:1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Psa. 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Second Priority (vv. 39-40)
Jo. 14:23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. ; 15:10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
1 Jo. 4:21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother; (13:8-10)

Rev. 2:4-5 4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
- 4 ways to rekindle your love for God:
1. Repent (Psa. 51:10-12)
2. Remember (Lu. 7:36-50)
3. Request: 1 Jo. 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God (Heb. 10:24-25a).
4. Read (Psa. 119:35, 47-48).

For Then (vv. 14-16)
For Today (vv. 17-21)
Ro.8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Matt. 24:29-31 29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Ro. 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
The Command (v.4)
Pro. 24:11 11 Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
Pro. 24:12 If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?
The Cause (v.5)
We want to convince people to:
1. Treasure human life.
2. Reject abortion.
3. Experience God's forgiveness.
4. Rescue the innocent, one mother and one baby at a time
Pro-Life Logic:
1. Intentionally killing an innocent human being is a moral wrong.
2. Abortion on demand is the intentional killing of an innocent human being.
3. Therefore, abortion is a moral wrong.
Psa. 139:13, 15-16a 13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. 15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;…
Jer. 1:5 “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart….”
