Bysending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in theflesh,”The word for “condemned”, katakrin, is just about the strongest word for condemn you canfind. It’s made up of the verb krino, which means to judge, and the word kata which meansdown or against. Think of the word catastrophe and you get the idea… How hard? So hardthat the sins of billions were condemned in the space of a few hours. So hard that the Son ofGod himself couldn’t live through it. So hard that sin has been dealt with once and forall (Heb 9:26). Perfect justice and perfect love were demonstrated at the Cross

A mistranslation of the word "putting away" has caused great confusion and pain for many who have been divorced. God permitted divorce and remmariage in the Law of Moses and Jesus upholds that teaching. He corrects the abuses of putting away a spouse and calls that abuse adultry.
