Church Membership should not only be important to the Christian, it should be vital to their everyday walk with Christ. Why- God sent His Son to die for the church and then Christ gave pastors to shepherd the church. Christ gave pastors to physical local churches. He gave pastors to church members so they can be equipped for the work of the ministry. So Church membership is as vital to Christianity as salvation itself. That is what Acts 2-41-42 states very clearly. -As soon as the people believed on the Word of god, they were baptized...and they were added to the local church.- The symbol of their salvation was baptism, the symbol of their commitment to Christ was going the local church. And they happened almost simultaneously.--1- Membership Matters because Commitment to the Church Matters--2- Membership Matters because living out our Christian faith Matters--3- Membership Matters because submitting our lives to the leadership our pastors and elders matters
