Central to this sermon is the truth that Christ’s priesthood is far greater than any before Him, for He offered the perfect sacrifice once for all, and who lives forever to intercede for His people. His work is complete, His priesthood foreshadowed (PREFIGURE), superior above all (PREEMINENT), and eternal and perfect (PERMANENT). Christ's saving power is fully sufficient for all who come to God through Him."The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:23-25)
