Garrett Walden is a pastor at Grace Heritage Church and the Dean of Admissions for Christ Our Redeemer Seminary. Listen to his testimony of how God kindled in him a heart for discipleship and evangelism during college which has become a love for pastoral ministry and preaching. He also tells of his PhD studies and his desire to use his degree to facilitate theological education for others in his community through the local church and Christ Our Redeemer Seminary.

Bernard Anderson is the Pastor of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Board of Trustees for Christ Our Redeemer Seminary. Pastor Anderson shares from his wisdom and experience as a long-tenured leader in the Auburn community. You’ll hear about God’s providence in his marriage and call to ministry as well as his unique fingerprint on the founding of the seminary.

Ben Jefferies is the Rector (Senior Pastor and Priest) at The Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Opelika. His journey from England to the American Midwest and then to Alabama gives him a unique perspective on the breadth of modern evangelicalism. Listen as he shares about his appreciation for the rich liturgy of his Anglican tradition and the practical ministry training model of Christ Our Redeemer Seminary.

Josh Yates is the Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Opelika. Hear about his experience in college and local church ministry as well as his passion for equipping believers to rightly interpret and proclaim the Word of God for use in vocational ministry and everyday life. He also shares practical wisdom concerning the value of theological education and what he loves about the “by the Church for the Church” model of Christ Our Redeemer Seminary.

Noah Kiser is the Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Opelika. Listen as he shares his call to ministry and God’s providence in bringing him to FPO. Noah also discusses his appreciation for the ecumenical unity of the churches in Auburn-Opelika and the benefits of the local church model of Christ Our Redeemer Seminary.

Trace Hamiter is a local pastor and network overseer of the Simple Church Network of Auburn and Opelika.  He is also the executive director of All Things Ministries.  The topic of discipleship has been a long-time interest for Trace and became the focus of his doctoral work at Beeson Divinity School.  Drawing from that and 20+ years in the trenches of discipleship, Trace taught our course this Spring on Making and Training Disciples.  You'll hear from him why he is excited about being a part of Christ Our Redeemer Seminary. 

Jeff Hollis has the unique perspective of being on our launch team as well as being our very first student and member of our inaugural cohort!  Listen in as he shares about what God is doing through Christ Our Redeemer Seminary.

As part of our initial launch team, Lee Cadden's sacrificial service helped get Christ Our Redeemer Seminary off the ground.  As a local pastor, Lee shares in this podcast why he's excited about how this seminary model centers the training of aspiring leaders in the local church.

Through this podcast you’ll learn more about how the Bible is an epic story of God’s mission through God’s people to save God’s world and how that story finds it focus and fulfillment in the good news of Jesus Christ.  We’ll talk about the central role of the Church in God’s mission, which makes the Church missional by its very nature and calling.  We’ll talk about how the local church is the primary context of the Spirit’s renewing work, including the equipping and affirmation of aspiring leaders, a process that happens best when it is holistic, highly relational, and firmly rooted in the local church.  You’ll learn how we integrate rigorous theological education, heart-level mentoring, and hands-on ministry opportunities to shape not only how we think, but also what we love, and how we live.
